“Kevin Rudd Lives Up To (My) Expectations

Well there you have it. Kevin Rudd is as much as scumbag as John Howard.

It didn’t take long for his true colours to show. A year after he was elected on a campaign which had a strong focus on climate change action, he has totally ignored Ross Garnaut’s recommendations of 5 per cent per year and decided we’ll settle on 5 per cent by 2020 or 15% if the rest of the world falls into line. Let me remind you that Kevin Rudd COMMISSIONED the report from Garnaut in the first place. He used it as a tool to help him win the 2007 election - and then completely and utterly ignored it.

What a complete cunt.

I, of course, saw this coming and didn’t vote for him. I’ve been convinced for a long time that both parties are just as corrupted as each other. They are both controlled by the elite - ie, the seriously wealthy and powerful folks who really run things. And these people don’t want change. They live for the next quarterly results. They are mostly in their 60s and 70s and don’t care if the world goes to hell in a handbasket by 2020 - cuz they know they won’t be around. They are in it for themselves.

To those of you who voted for Rudd - how do you feel?

To those of you who are as pissed off and angry as I am - what are we going to do about it?”

Which prompted me to start writing a comment, which turned into this:

Chairman Rudd 737 : the ultimate climate change sell-out

In week two of the 2007 election campaign:

“Rudd also committed Labor to a target of a 20 per cent reduction in emissions by 2020, a 5 per cent increase on the Liberal target, assisted by the use of renewable energy, but without the use of clean coal, arguing that it would ultimately be a benefit, not a detriment to the economy.”

Yes, its such utter hypocrisy, a total betrayal of the platform Rudd and his Labor party colleagues pretended to run on.

They took advantage of the fact that people were so willing to get rid of Howard they would believe all of Labor’s lies about a committed willingness to take on the coal industry and effect the necessary legislative changes required to adequately address climate change.

I remember watching Garrett repeatedly evade giving a straight answer to the 2020 target question throughout the mid to late stages of the election campaign in 2007.

You only had to look at Garrett’s squirming performances on 7:30 Report and Lateline to know that he, and his political masters, were snowing us.

Garrett is the ANTI-GREEN.

How many times people have said to me “Oh, I thought he was a Green?”

He’s not a bloody Green!

No you morons, he’s a bloody machine-party-man sell-out!

I recall thinking “these clowns are going to get elected on a pile of bullshit”; incredibly, people were lapping it up.

I’ve come to terms some time ago that I live in a nation filled with people who are utterly clueless when it comes to political reality.

Both ’sides’ of politics (two sides of the same nasty coin) are only there to do the bidding of their masters.

You only have to look at where their political donations money comes from to see who these politicians really answer to.

Its obvious that the vast majority (around 80%) of Australians collectively are ignorant enough of what is really going on to keep electing two machine parties sprinkled with a good salting of yes-men and yes-women who toe the party line.

These strategically positioned yes-people are carefully selected for their slavish, unthinking dedication to preserving the power and privileges of the elites under either the guise of free enterprise or a fair go for workers.

There are plenty of decent men and women in both the Labor and the Liberal parties. I have the pleasure of the acquaintance of a good number of them.

Unfortunately, they are also ignorant of what is actually going on; they are unaware of the true nature of the game they are playing.

Unfortunately in this country, free enterprise now means the right to be taxed ‘Liberally’ while a fair go for workers means the right to ‘Labor’ your entire life then watch your retirement disappear in a greasy puff of red stock tickers as the central (private, NOT government as many seem to believe) bankers and hedge fund robber barons strategically rip the guts out of the markets just because it pleasures them to do so.

From what I understand, we have reached a point where 91% of corporate profits go offshore and corporate taxes only make up around 11% of the taxation base.

I may be wrong about that, as I haven’t checked the official statistics, but that’s what a Professor of Economics told me recently.

If at least 80% of the Australian people can’t tell that we are all being mercilessly econo-raped by the banking and investment elites, mostly foreign, mostly USA / UK, then what can I say except bend over and keep taking it my fellow Australians.

For so long as the 80%’ers keep voting in ALP or Liberal governments at either the Federal or State level, we’ll keep getting more of this shit until finally the Australian nation is totally devastated ecologically and economically bankrupted beyond all redemption.

Unless the 80%’ers wake up and realise what’s going on very soon now, they are dooming us all to a very bleak future.

Free enterprise to my mind is NOT giant multi-national extra-juristictional mega-corporations collectively siphoning off the bulk of their profits into foreign jurisdictions while paying only a tiny proportion of the taxes in this country. That’s Anglo-American imperialism.

Only intelligent, ecologically sustainable, free enterprise practiced in a spirit of integrity and good will toward all can give us a viable future for our Commonwealth.

My suggestion, if you’re traditionally a Liberal voter; vote for Liberty and Democracy Party candidates.

They have true free enterprise and personal liberty policies and they are not corrupted or controlled by the global banking and corporate elites.

The Liberty and Democracy party are the true inheritors of the libertarian free enterprise mantle.

If you’re traditionally a Labor voter, for crying out loud, get a freaking clue and vote Green already!

The Greens have picked up the ball that Labor dropped long ago, on a whole range of issues, from worker’s entitlements, to social justice, sustainable public transport policy, sensible health-care reforms and of course, the no-brainer, climate change.

Policy C1: Climate Change and Energy Goals - The Australian Greens want:

Australia to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as is feasible and by no later than 2050 with a minimum of 40% reduction on 1990 levels by 2020.
the reversal of Australia’s growing demand for energy through demand management and increased efficiency of supply and end-use.
future energy needs to be met using sustainable, renewable energy sources.
all countries to develop and meet greenhouse gas emission targets.
actions to adapt Australia to the impacts of climate change.
Australia to be prepared for peak oil without resorting to the heavily greenhouse polluting options of shale oil or coal-to-oil.
the development and ratification of a global oil depletion protocol.

Who are the worker’s real friends these days?

Who’s got the interests of Australian small business, the largest employer sector in the nation at heart?

Who will deliver on climate change legislation?

Who will finally remove asylum seekers from mandatory detention and provide them with a fair assessment of their claim for asylum?

Who will hold the machine-members of the major parties to account?

To all those who are pissed off and angry, join a minority party or sign up as a supporter of your local person-of-highest-integrity independent and do everything in your power to ensure they win a state or federal seat from the Labor and Liberal parties at the next state and federal elections.

And that my friends, is true grassroots democracy, political freedom and an antidote to machine party politics.

At the very least, you might start to glimpse a few glimmers of truth out there in the murky depths of ‘major’ party politics.

Ulimately though, this is all still in the Matrix; the carefully constructed version of reality you are meant to believe in.

You have to look beyond the Matrix to see who’s really controlling the system.

But that’s a story for another day…

Court finds PAN Pharmaceuticals / Jim Selim INNOCENT!

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

An informed citizen is an empowered citizen.

Here’s some news you won’t find in the mainstream media.

PAN Pharmaceuticals / Jim Selim INNOCENT.

Sneaky attacks on our rights to natural health products continue in various ways, month by month.

John won’t mind me posting this; as he sends his open emails out to as many people as are willing to receive them.

Bradley

Dear Bronwyn,

Now who would benefit by putting PAN out of business?

All PAN were doing was successfully selling alternative health products to the international drug companies.

Yours sincerely,
John Wilson.
